| We begin our tour in SoHo with
breakfast at one of New York's premier artisanal bread bakeries.
Go behind the scenes and see where the hand-made European style loaves
are made. If this has inspired you to try the craft yourself, you
will find everything you need at SoHo's finest kitchenware store, our
next stop.
We'll continue our stroll
through this trendy area, admiring some of
SoHo's most impressive cast iron buildings. We'll stop at a chic
new chocolate shop as well as Dean
and DeLuca, the world-famous food emporium.
Then it's on to Little Italy,
taking in charming street scenes and shops
that gradually go from SoHo chic to Little Italy quaint.
We'll visit
a homemade pasta store
where over 25 varieties of fresh pasta are cut daily, a famed Italian pastry shop that has
been in the
neighborhood for over 100 years, and a family-owned cheese store where we'll
taste velvety fresh mozzarella cheese.
After working up an appetite,
we'll be ready to enjoy lunch at one of the loveliest restaurants in the
neighborhood. The Chef will prepare a sumptuous meal for us, with all the
colors, flavors and aromas of Italy. After lunch, he will escort you
behind-the-scenes so you can see first hand a high speed, big city kitchen in action. |
