clubs and boutiques mingle with the old tenement neighborhood of the
immigrant Jews and Latinos. The Tenement Museum commemorates
this immigrant past. |
The interesting mix of stops includes tastings as diverse as homemade
gelato, an old fashioned candy store, knishes, empanadas, cheeses and the
freshest doughnuts. |
In Little Italy we visit a famed pastry shop, and family-owned cheese stores for tastings of velvety fresh mozzarella and soprassata. The tour begins with a full breakfast. |
