Become acquainted with the
neighborhood's many boutiques, clubs, restaurants and the High Line, New
York City's newest--and most unique--park.
We meet for a full breakfast
at Pastis, sort of a sister act to SoHo's Balthazar. After taking
in the neighborhood and crossing 14th Street, we're in Chelsea, ready to
take in the delights of the Chelsea Market. |
The Chelsea
Market is truly a cook's treasure, supplying everything from
buffalo mozzarella to lobster. Not your ordinary suburban mall,
the former Nabisco factory's architecture is quite distinctive.
Walking along its central corridor we will make stops at Amy's Bread,
Bowery Kitchen Supply, Ronnybrook Farm Dairy, the Lobster Place, Manhattan Fruit Exchange,
BuonItalia, Chelsea Thai, Chelsea Market Baskets, the Fat Witch, among
the two dozen storefronts, sampling their specialties along the way.
Don't miss the opportunity to stock up on this cook's/eater's dream
destination!
If you are still hungry, we will
direct you to several places in the area, for lunch on your own. |
